Where we do not use AI
Every word on this blog, from the bio, the posts, the policies was written by Gareth Newton-Williams. That’s essentially the point. You’ll get to know my voice and foibles soon enough. Perhaps you’ll get along with my writing, perhaps you won’t.
But let’s be clear, everything here has been written by me.
How we do use AI
That’s not to say we don’t think AI is something of a game changing tool. We use AI tools to help generate and review ideas, analyse my writing (who knew I don’t use many semi-colons) and very often to learn about new things or conduct assisted research.
Thoughts on the role of AI tools
We think AI tools have a place, and that place is working for us rather than replacing us. Perhaps they will one day, but for now, I will ask AI, How did I do? What else might I say? What I won’t be doing is saying, write a 500 word post for me about the futility of blogging in a world seemingly full of Large Language Models.
