Inception

Computer generated animation is busy. Busy displacing live action techniques across a range of genres including drama (Alice in Wonderland), comedy (Shrek), family film (Toy Story, er, pick a number) and action (Avatar). It seems that every new major motion picture represents a new advance or development in the field of imagination realisation. Fun with helium balloons

In the nineties, there were all sorts of warnings associated with breathing Helium gas. It’s pretty common stuff so despite the risk of blue lips or passing out everyone has had a go at the squeaky voice gas. Everyone that is apart from Joe Pasquale, who from birth never needed any.  In short anyone who is anyone at all has given in and had a go at some point. For most of us it’s before we even make it to being teenagers. For some, well, it lasts a lot longer.

Have you ever watched 24?

It’s an experience I can tell you that.

Season one was something else. Within our circle of friends it was remarkable. We got together and watched the episodes in small groups of three or four. I can’t remember if we split the cost of the boxed set or if one of us had already purchased it. Without the regular advertisements episodes are about 43 to 45 minutes long and they are awesome.
