Recant
Just before the year turned I set myself a goal. A new year offers a host of opportunities. Clearly it makes no real difference whenever you set yourself a new goal but most would agree that the new year is a particularly popular time to review progress and determine how one might advance oneself in the 365.25 days to come. Daily blog entries seemed like a reasonable objective, experience has shown that it is not quite the truth.
If you are one of the few who follow my blog then you may have noticed that blog entries have been few and far between.; indeed there were none in the entire month of March. There are a plethora of excuses created by the most ingenious of procrastinators available for use. Business, responsibilities, ill health, power cuts, earthquakes, famine, internet access issues, and finally the outbreak of military conflict, none of which are applicable in the current circumstances. Some small rebellious element of my personality led me to believe that not blogging for the whole month of March would justify not blogging for the first few days of March. This is stupid.
When a deadline is missed those who miss the deadline often experience guilt, regret, sadness, self-loathing, none of which apply here. Instead there is a sense chirpy optimism I have been a fool and this is the day for fools.
Some consideration has been given to providing a recap of the e vents and activities of the joys month of March; more consideration to the tender ends of the big hungry giants fingers and your attention spans. Looking forward then with renewed purpose you can shout hooray. BHG is back today. PS BHG’s wife is convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that daily blogging is “pompous”. Clearly this only applies to the month March.
